Numeracy: Understanding number, knowing and using number facts, measuring, using and applying mathematics nad understanding shape.
Literacy: Ruth Miskin or Non-chronological reports and Myths and Legends.
Science: Light and shadow - What makes a shadow and how is effected by th Sun.

History: The Romans - Who they were, why and how they invaded Britain.
ICT: Combining text and graphics.
PE: Netball, Rounders and Swimming
Music: Musicianship an Ocarinas - Learning technical control and to play well with others.
DT: Lighting up - Looking at how lights work and making our own Roman lamps
RE: Moral code - Looking at rules and the Ten Commandments.
French: Je parle francais!: languages
PSHE: New beginnings - Looking at charters and settling in to new environments.
The following homework will be given each week:
Literacy, Numeracy, Topic or Science. You should also read with your child throughout the week as this will enhance their learning across the curriculum. In addition to this spelling and tables will occasionally be given as homework, these will be tested on the Friday after they are given.
Each piece of work should take no longer than twenty minutes and your child should be able to complete this independently. If children regularly have difficulty with homework, please let me know.
