As you are aware the Year six SATs take place this term.  We will be revising topics in Numeracy, Literacy and Science to prepare for these tests. 

We will be studying the following topics this term

Numeracy:          Mean, median and mode, probability and revision of the topics covered so far this year.

Literacy:                          Revision of the basic fiction and non fiction text types to include adventure stories, explanatory texts, instructions, chronological reports, newspaper reports, debates, persuasion, narrative and play scripts.

Science:             Revision of topics studied this year and in previous years.

History:               Vikings – invaders and settlers

ICT:                                Animation – creating a class animation using plasticene characters and stop frame animation.

PE:                     Outdoor and Adventurous Activities, Cricket and Swimming

Music:                 Stars - Hide your fires

DT:                     Designing and making biscuits

RE:                     Sikhism

French:                Finding out about French speaking countries in the world

PSHE:                 Local democracy and moving on

Due to SATs revision I will not be setting formal homework this term apart from the completion of the Easter project.  However, it would benefit the children to spend time on some of the attached websites. The activities on these site are pitched at the appropriate level and encourage revision in a fun manner.
